Directorate and Department Retreats
In 2009, the respective directorates and departments in the Supreme Court conducted their own retreats so as to provide the staff with a fun-filled opportunity to build better relations outside of their usual work duties.
The Corporate Communications, Corporate Planning, Corporate Services, Finance & Financial Policy, and Legal Directorates, and Computer Information Systems Department – held their retreats at various venues, offering staff a fullday programme where they interacted and participated in teambuilding activities designed to improve working relationships and strengthen team spirit.

Employee engagement is a key focus for the Supreme Court, and staff welfare events are one of the avenues through which the Supreme Court management reaches out to employees.
In 2009, a wide variety of staff welfare activities were planned and conducted, including health talks, exercise classes, and educational visits to local attractions and companies. The Judiciary Recreation Club also organised corporate activities such as the Family and Sports Day, Dinner and Dance, National Day Observance Ceremony and movie night events to promote bonding amongst the staff of the Supreme Court and the Subordinate Courts.
